I'm a T-shaped UX designer specialising in Information Architecture and a proud cat mom.

I got an experience design mindset long before I knew the term UX.
‍
Throughout my studies in Marketing and Management in Arts I learned how to shape interaction between art and its recipients based on their background, needs and wants.
‍
As a fresh graduate, I got a customer service job at booking.com, where I solved problems of our users with their reservations. This is where I realised how the way information is served can not only shape a short interaction with an app, but decide about an entire service experience, where the digital product is only an initial tool. That inspired me to reach back for my skills in designing for arts and upscale them to fit the digital world.

Having worked in i. a. an agency and a startup, I have vast experience in creating innovative digital products from scratch, from early user research to high-fidelity designs. I combine my technical UX and UI skills with my passion for Psychology and Cognitive Science. My Marketing background lets me design with the user in the centre and the business needs in mind.
‍
In my personal life, I am a cat mom of precious Chicago, a sport enthusiast, an avid traveller, an art lover and a not-so-great but very keen knitter.

My values

πŸ‘€ Curiosity

I am fascinated by the way the human mind works. I am interested in Psychology and Cognitive Science and look for ways to apply my learnings into my design process. I consider understanding the root of the problem the most important part of any UX project and my natural curiosity makes research one of my favourite tasks.

‍

πŸ€— Open-mindedness

I keep my eyes and ears open for anything that can inspire new ideas. I find feedback from users, coworkers and clients one of the most important learning sources. I love hearing different perspectives because they often cast a new light on my ideas and enrich the creative process.

‍

🧚🏻 Flexibility

Working at a startup and at an agency taught me the importance of fast thinking and adapting to ever-changing conditions. When the budget is tight or technical constraints come into play, I can find simple, creative solutions that respect project limitations without compromising the user experience.

‍

πŸ’ͺ Courage

I live by the words:Β there is no problem without a solution.
My life in foreign countries and travelling solo taught me that even the most overwhelming situations can be solved, and usually are not as complicated as they seem. This mindset motivates me to always take on bigger challenges in my professional life, which helps me develop my skills fast.

My philosophy

  • I do not compromise functionality for visual design.
  • I believe in combining innovation with classic patterns familiar to users.
  • I never start designing without research - even a few hours of desk research is better than nothing.
  • I look beyond the digital aspect of the product and put it in a broader context of the entire service experience.
